K2 Development Organization (K2DO) is a community-based, non-profit organization working in Gilgit-Baltistan to promote inclusive social, economic, and environmental development. Rooted in local knowledge and driven by community participation, K2DO aims to improve quality of life while safeguarding the fragile mountain ecosystem of the region.
Our work focuses on addressing interconnected challenges related to education, health, livelihoods, environmental sustainability, and social well-being. We believe that sustainable development is only possible when communities are empowered with knowledge, skills, and access to essential services.
Operating in some of the most remote and underserved areas, K2DO collaborates with local communities, civil society organizations, government institutions, and development partners to design and implement context-specific, impact-driven solutions.
